Staying Ahead

1990s
Started the Summer After High School
Began converting hand-drafted paper drawings into digital format using AutoCAD and SoftPlan — learning the craft entirely through hands-on work, not a classroom. Quickly expanded into drawing full custom home plans for a local builder.
2000s
Transition to BIM — Autodesk Architectural Desktop
Adopted Autodesk Architectural Desktop as the industry moved toward model-based design. Embraced 3D building modeling early, long before it became standard practice in residential work.
2008
Moved to Revit — Full BIM Workflow
Made the switch to Revit in 2008, transitioning to a fully integrated Building Information Modeling workflow. Every plan, section, elevation, and schedule generated from a single coordinated 3D model — eliminating the coordination errors common in traditional 2D drafting.
2020s
Revit 2026 + D5 Render — The Complete Package
Running Revit 2026 today with D5 Render for photorealistic visualizations. Clients now receive not just permit-ready construction documents, but full-color renderings and video walkthroughs of their home before a single shovel hits the ground.

How I Work

Design &
Documents

I handle both sides of the project — design and construction documents. That means I am involved from the earliest conversations about what you want to build, through schematic design, all the way to a complete permit-ready drawing set. You deal with one person start to finish.

For structural engineering, I coordinate with licensed Florida P.E.s who sign and seal the structural components. That coordination happens behind the scenes; you get a fully integrated package.

I am a Florida native, and I have spent my entire career designing homes for Florida's specific code environment — coastal wind loads, Exposure categories, FBC compliance, FDEP requirements, and the county-by-county quirks that out-of-state services simply do not know.

What I enjoy most is new custom residential construction — the project where a client has a vision, a lot, and a budget, and needs someone to turn that into something buildable. That is where the work matters most.
